BASIC RULES 4/4

8.) Sale of game cards:
The Harbour Master sells the game cards by hidden auction as follows: He draws the topmost game card from the stack and turns it around to show it to his fellow players before he encourages them to make an offer with the words: “Please place your bids!”

Interested players (including the Harbour Master himself) may put a credit card face down on the table to make an offer. On the Harbour Master’s command “tell!” all bidders turn around the credit card of their bid to reveal their offer. The player with the highest bid receives the game card and becomes new Harbour Master.

The card used to pay for the purchase goes into the bank (exception see takeover card). All other players who did not win the bid may take back their credit card. Acquired game cards and resources lay openly in front of their owners.

Unsold Game Cards:
If a game card is for sale and no player makes a bid for it the card is to be taken out of the game. The Harbour Master keeps his office and the game round continues with the action phase.

Unsold territories are treated like territories that haven't been sold yet.

9. End of the Game:
The game ends after the sale of the last game card and when all players have finished their actions.

The players receive points for the biggest connected piece of land in their possession: 1 point for each land stone plus 3 points for each city. The player with most points wins the game.

If several players have an equal number of points, the sum of their remaining credit cards decides who ranks better. In case of a further stalemate the Harbour Master decides who is winner.

The victorious player may baptize the planet and becomes governor of the new world.

If a player drops out before the end of the game:
The player's assets stay where they are and the remaining players continue the game as if the missing player was still there but not participating actively.
